Upon the invitation of Delegate Dana Stein and Dr. Allen Cox, coordinator of the Stock Market Game, I gave a 12-minute presentation to the Maryland Financial Education & Capabilities Commission at the Maryland Department of Transportation headquarters. The commission consists of elected officials such as Delegate Stein and heads of community financial organizations and meets semi-annually. I presented about the importance of teaching kids about financial literacy, and then analyzed some challenges and possible solutions for doing so.
